When I heard my good friend Justin was in an aspiring band it didn't surprise me, since I already new he was an insanely amazing drummer. In fact ,he tapped pencils like they were drum sticks all through middle school!
Getting to photograph his band, Social Green, at a live show was a memorable experience! The energy was off the charts. Ian Crosby, on vocals, had veins popping out of his head literally, it was intense! You can surf over to Social Green’s MySpace to hear some of their music. Its a perfect blend of reggae/rock.
The show was at one of the coolest venues in San Diego; the Belly Up Tavern. I loved the layout of the place. There are places to chill, places to dance, a large stage, multiple bars, and even some above stage seating for the VIPs! It was a lot of fun, especially because I ran into a bunch of old friends from high school. The atmosphere at the Belly Up was great, everyone seemed like they were having the time of their life!
